If you’ve took part in the 50 or 100 mile event, you’ll know that part of the experience is how you’re treated by marshals and checkpoint staff on the route. We’re already well into our planning for 2014, which involves approximately 150 people helping out over the weekend. We’re always looking for extra helpers so if you’re not competing this year or you know a friend who may wish to help out, please get in contact.
What does volunteering involve?
We need people helping out at Coniston and also at checkpoints on the course. You’ll need to be available from Friday morning through to Sunday afternoon. In return, we’ll provide you with an event marshal shirt, free camping and meal vouchers over the weekend and a guaranteed free entry to the event in 2015. Marshaling is a great experience as you’ll be part of the team, not just a volunteer. From our perspective, all we need is reliability before you commit.
